Fruits

The month of May was indeed a surprise, this last month all the doors that we were knocking on got open, and it has been countless opportunities for ministry that we are “short-staffed”.

Regarding Islam ministry, when we can be inside a mosque is already huge, and we have 3 mosques now in which we can come in and 2 hotels where plenty of refugees (around 400) live and communicate on countless opportunities to interact and build relationships. Unfortunately, I cannot show any of the pictures I have, we have been teaching the basics of English, sitting down with them to hear what they need, and trying to provide for them has been a challenge but a heavenly rewarding one, and also some crafts as a recreational activity.

The Mission

Next week I have a meeting with the big boss of the company, where we will discuss some strategies and activities, I’ve been having way more freedom to develop my skills and the fruit of it is the football (soccer) that started in an open field.

Right on the first day we had 11 people who were willing to play a fun friendly match, we had kids who were practicing for club tests and friends who were celebrating the comeback of a friend into the country. We gathered up to play and we had a blast, a lot of laughs, slide tackles (the British are crazy) and of course the wonderful healthy competition.

Every thursday we have doctrine teaching, given by PhDs in the area, and they openned foThursday we have doctrine teaching, given by PhDs in the area, and they opened for me to start teaching as well, due to my diploma in theology and the recent preaching in some churches and nothing is more important than the revelation of Jesus, so I felt led to teach about Jesus’ title Son of Man, how He used and why, and also how that applies to our current lifestyle.

I’m sure it will be a challenge and I’m glad for all the classes I took, the confidence I’m finding came from all the opportunities to develop the intimacy with the text for I want show nothing else but Jesus. Skills and talents are good, yes no doubt but without the relationship with the Author of the text the message is lifeless.

Our English class in the Muslim neighborhood has also bearing fruits, in a different country people from another nationalities feel safer learning english with non native than with the natives, I cannot explain why but the room is full of muslim ladies and now we spent the whole time learning enlgish and talking about religion. 😂

Discipleship

Two disciples were officially formed, I’ve directly asked two guys to be under discipleship and they both agreed, we have been meeting weekly, at least once, and the best news is that they are developing a deep relationship with God and one of them, Luca, has been evangelizing in the streets. Nothing brings more joy than seeing people falling in love with God, this is one of the reasons I love the life I’m living and thanks to you all of this possible, the monthly support get us further

Personal Life

I’ve found a whole Brazilian neighborhood, which I try to avoid, but I felt homesick for a couple of days and went there to eat Pastels, I felt at home and I marveled I could experience the authenticity of a Brazilian street food in London.

Church life also has been good, our church is growing in relationships, last week we spent 20 minutes after service with 1 on 1 meetings where people were confessing sins and repeting, it was a great time and I and last week we spent 20 minutes after service on 1 on 1 meetings with some confessions and repentance.
