August

The month of August was full of ups and downs, and God turned the downs into ups. With this journey of fully trusting in God, having Him as my one thing (Psalm 27:4) sometimes we can lose track and through His love and mercy, He brings us back. One prayer that I pray daily is based on John 15, that if I am starting to become a branch that’s not connected to Him, He may bring me back.

When our plans don’t happen and we lose control we tend to feel lost a little bit because we are seeing things with our human eyes, but the One who holds the universe knows the future and has plans not to harm us but to prosper, even though sometimes this prosper won’t come in our human way to define prosperity. I’ve been learning through the gospels that prosperity is a deeper relationship with God, fully trusting, fully loving, fully devoting.

My trip to US did not happen, instead I stayed in London and could actually know the city better and get to know the history of it through museums and some tourism guides. I’ve spent 2 full weeks of vacation immersed in God, and it was priceless.

Mission

The month of August is the month that the whole team engages in weekly events, some may take a week working in a hub or evangelism, and we alternate between them in order to keep the cafe running and still take the few sunny days in London to go to the streets meet new people. Unfortunately, I do not have pictures this time of any of the new activities but I have a good testimony story.

The family from Taiwan that we met in one of the evangelism joined us for Sunday service twice before flying back and the father asked for a bible and received one, the family was in awe of God and sang worship songs, it felt like they were there for a long time already. My prayer now is that their faith may flourish even more and they can become a blessing to their community.

This week we’ve been immersed into the Muslim community, getting some teaching about what type of Muslim people we have here, the data shows that in the large borough, region is composed of 73% of our neighbors are Muslims, if we zoom in we will get 96% in some areas, and that is the Hub that I am in. This week we’ve been talking to some other mission ministries in order to understand better their culture and how should we work together, the classes have the history of the countries of the population and the best way to engage with them.

An interesting fact is that London is becoming more Muslim as the day goes by, it is very noticeable as you walk on the streets how globalized London is and how evident the increase of their culture in the city is.

Discipleship

Since this month we did not have the usual schedule the football did not happen, the churches mingled together to the same place. Which opened time to do a lot of 1 on 1.

This has been the greatest joy here, Luca is growing in his faith so quickly that encourages me to keep pursuing God, some others have been struggling a little bit but keep learning and willing to live a life for God, I was even able to share the gospel to a new person and they said yes but had to fly back to their country, I am waiting for their return to continue.

Personal Life

With the visa still running, it has been talks already to plan for renewing it and remain here in London but I’m praying to know God’s will, please, join me in prayer that we may never do God’s work without God.

Also, just a reminder to check the giving!

Thank you!

Hello, Tales. Your letters are always encouraging. Discouragement snd questions are always part of ministry. We become sensitive to God’s will and our own desire to live obediently in his plan. God is always there working, even when we cannot see with our limited vision.
I am reminded of the song Living Hope by Phil Wickham. Check it out. God’s perspective is so much greater than our own.

God continue to be with you and bless your ministry.
