Update

Since the last update we passed the mark of 2 years in the mission field, I confess that I was not keeping track of that mark but when I saw the graduating students from my former college, it hit me like lightning bolt the day that I graduated in the morning and went to the mission field in the afternoon. And just like 2 years ago, I might be changing to a new season in another place.

Having Jesus as the Lord of your life is the best decision one can make, but it is not without hardships that one may live. Fortunately, the problem I am facing is to be having too many good options at hand but I know full well that my Lord will lead me to the best outcome.

The options are: Staying where I am right now and continue with the work, moving to a different church and seek a pastoral ordination and the last one is flying to the slumbs in Brazil to assist outreach and football projects.

The Mission

In those 3 months that has passed 2 new bible reading groups were started, one of them only with brazilians who does not dominate english yet. The other one with only men, and this one has been a tremendous joy, because in our circle there are atheists, agnostics, church hurted, and christians. We sit around a table full of pizza and chat over 4 hours and has been giving fruits because some of them are joining us on sunday to worship God in the church.

We also started another football session, which has been a blessing, with more and more people joining us and our goals being reached which is the creation of community in our area of this beautiful city, having around 10 people per session.

Some invites to teach and lead worship in another churches have been a huge blessing on the development of my skills, nowadays the shiness has gone and I’ve been doing it with more confidence than before.

Discipleship

Within those two years, one of the greatest achievments was helping to develop discipleship formats for our congregations, we have three bible studies happing inside people’s homes, another one about to start in September at the church. Another great thing was the encouragment of church peers to change for spectators to doers of the word, now we have all of the congregation serving and/or leading a setting in the community. I’ve been walking with 3 guys watching their growth has been the greates joy of my mission days

Be Part of It

I really appreciate all of you who have been giving regularly, you have no idea on how much of help it is!
