It was hard to find a title for this month’s update, there are plenty of good things that I want to share with you but let me first start writing about what God has been communicating with me about the power of a quiet life. A few reports ago it was shared on how the Baptizer’s life has been impacting my life, how he cultivated a relationship with God above all things, resonating as well with the life of Jesus which is the ultimate example of obedience. For you reader, there is no greater reward than to rely on God’s love and will for you.
There were some subjects here with the mission that I could not agree on, but, I decided then to speak with the leadership in order to understand better their point of view and also express mine, all in light of the bible. As a result of the meeting, they decided to follow the model I presented of Discipleship. They could see the changes that God was doing with those who were discipled in our hub and awakened them to apply that in all London Hubs. Which leads me to talk about Luca and Paul.
Both of them are growing in their relationship with God and is very meaningful to me to be part of that. Luca who comes from a Muslim family has been preaching to his neighbors and even to his family, here in London he says that he has more opportunities to share his faith and he goes for it. This is the true discipleship and the reason I live this life, teaching people on how to grow in their relationship with God and on how to make disciples following Jesus’ command on Matthew 28:18-20
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”

Remembrance

This last month was a month that I could remember a little bit on how to be Brazilian, in our monthly community meal we opted for a barbecue, open grill style where everybody could bring a side and some meat. We grilled for hours and we were expecting to show the Brazilian way and also learn the British way of barbecue but out of the 32 people that showed up only 4 were Brazilians and 5 British, we were able to learn with 9 different countries their way to grill meat. It was a fun evening we had a lot of fun.
Continuing to preach on sundays due to invitations has been very light and organic. The leadership even opened the opportunity to teach in our weekly meetings. Once a week the whole London team members gather to worship and receive some teaching. Recently they asked me to be part of the teaching team and help them to bring in-depth theology to equip the saints for the mission. My first class of four will be on the 18th in the book of Daniel. I am very excited for it.

That is the flyer to the football, it has been a great time, we have around 8 people every week to play soccer and also to develop more friendships. I have discovered that this project has been in the heart of the leadership for a long time, now they want me to start another two totalizing THREE soccer groups on the week. Genuinely, I don’t know if I can play football three times a week, my knee is not the same as before. 😂
